Sunday Services

Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at 10am except on the 3rd Sunday of the month when we celebrate Holy Communion at 8am and Morning Worship at 10 am. There is a creche area for pre-school children and babies, you are welcome to use the creche in church or if you want a quieter space the choir vestry is available which has additional toys.

We have refreshments after each 10am service – time to catch up with others and make new friends.  Please come and join us. For those who are unable to join us on a Sunday the weekly notice sheet can be found on A Church Near You website or by clicking the following link.

First Sunday of the month

Space to Breathe

Space to Breathe is an informal monthly gathering starting at 6pm on the first Sunday of the month. It offers time to slow down, reflect and reconnect with God and one another. Through music, quiet reflection, conversation and prayer, we’ll explore themes of courage, compassion, gentleness and everyday faith.

5th Sunday of the Month

On the 5th Sunday of the month the Helm Mission Community have a joint service in one of the churches. Please see notice board to discover which church we will be worshipping in. Details of the other churches in the Mission Community can be found by clicking the link. St Mark’s church will be open for private prayer if the service is not in Natland.

Anna Chaplaincy

St Mark’s has established an Anna Chaplaincy. Gill Pilling is our Chaplain and we have a team of other volunteers who have been trained and licensed as Anna Friends.

Anna Chaplains are named after the widow, Anna, who appears with Simeon in Luke’s gospel; both are good role models of faithful older people. Anna Chaplains are there for people of strong, little or no faith at all.

The team visit people in their own homes who can not make it to church, to offer Communion and Fellowship.

The Anna Chaplaincy team helps with the Thursday service at the Kendal Care Home, which includes taking communion to the patients who can not come down for the service
